In the past few years, Canberra’s skyline has been in a state of flux, with several buildings on the city’s south and east edges undergoing redevelopment.
One of those new developments is the crane estate.
The crane estate is set to become one of the biggest developments in Canberra.
It will be the second tallest building in the city, and will house offices, a hotel and a cinema.
The building will also house the headquarters of the city council.
“It’s going to be a massive undertaking,” Craig Scott, managing director of the crane business, told Business Insider.
“It’s very important to get this completed.”
Mr Scott said the crane would be used to help create new jobs in the area.
“We’ll be providing work to the workers and also the residents of the area to bring this new work to life,” he said.
“That will be a huge boost for the area.”
The crane is expected to open in 2019.
It’s the second skyscraper to be built in Canberra, following the construction of the World Trade Centre.
The development is currently undergoing a $100 million redevelopment and is expected be completed by 2021.
