The Real Estate Board of Texas said Friday it is waiving a rental property tax in Dallas-Fort Worth and will let the property owner pay it to the county.
The Board said the property was assessed at $2.2 million, but the real estate board said the tax would have been $2,917,000 if it was assessed the same amount.
The board also waived a property tax for the home that was owned by the city of Fort Worth and used by Mayor Greg Stanton.
The real estate tax is paid to the city by the property owners.
