Deering, Texas (AP) A new census of Texas households shows a strong increase in the number of Deering’s estate sales, with a whopping 4,919 sales last year.
That compares with 2,957 sales in 2014, the first year that data is available.
The number of sales jumped 12.6% in the 12 months through July 2017.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Deering had surpassed the national average for estate sales for the 12-month period.
Texas is considered the second-largest U.S. state by population, with 4.9 million people.
Texas’ population grew from about 5.5 million people in 1980 to more than 7 million people today, according to the U.N. In a 2016 report, the Dallas Morning Sun reported that Texas’ estate sales were up 40% from 2015 to 2017.
Texas was ranked as the top state for estate sale activity in a 2016 study from U.K.-based estate agents Alamo Capital Markets.
It said Texas had been a leading destination for estate buyers since the 1980s.
The Dallas Morning news cited data from the U,S.
Census Bureau that showed the number that sold their home rose 12.1% in Deering from 2013 to 2016.
The paper cited Deering and its neighbors on the north side of the city as a state with the highest estate sales.
The city also had the highest percentage of people who sold their homes, at 53%.
“I think people are looking at their homes and saying, ‘What are they going to do with it?'”
Deering city councilwoman Debbie Boudreaux told the newspaper.
Dallas-area home prices are also soaring.
Sales of single-family homes jumped 9.9% last year from 2014 to 2017, according the newspaper’s data.
The new numbers are good news for Deering homeowners who might have hoped for a more balanced economic recovery after the recession.
Deering was ranked No. 1 on the list of U.P.E. states in the U., U.A.E., and the US.
News & World Report’s list of the 50 states that are “most likely to recover” in 2020, according a 2016 survey by the U of Texas, the state’s research institute.
“In 2017, the deering property sales increase was at least twice as high as the rate of inflation, but we still see very strong increases in house prices,” said John McQuillan, a U.W.F.M. research associate who helped compile the census.

Deering was the home to the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, the Cowboys and the Cowboys Stadium.
Deers population also includes the University of Texas at Dallas, the Texas Tech University, and the University Of Texas at Arlington.
